Kami Geoffray '05

Kami Geoffray is the Founder and Principal of Geoffray Strategies, LLC.  She has more than 15 years of experience in government, legal, and nonprofit sectors, on both the state and national level, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health policy and programs. She is fueled by a passion for increasing access to evidence-based information and healthcare—especially for underserved communities like the one in rural Louisiana where she was born and raised.

Kami previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Every Body Texas, where she spent five years overseeing the administration of the then second-largest Title X family planning services grant award in the nation. Other notable experiences include serving as a Senior Policy Advisor within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s Medicaid and CHIP Office of Policy and as Public Policy Coordinator at the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

A seasoned advocate and strategist, Kami has served as a registered lobbyist in Louisiana and Texas and has been invited to provide testimony before the Louisiana Legislature, the Texas Legislature, and the United States Congress. She has been honored with the National Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare Association’s Advocacy and Public Affairs Award and the Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy’s Changemaker Award.

Kami received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University and her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School. She is a member of the Louisiana Bar and currently is pursuing a sexuality educator certification through the Sexual Health Alliance.

Although born and raised on the bayous of Louisiana, Kami is a Texan by choice.
