Until 2025, the Center for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality was home to the journal of Feminist Economics.
Launched in 1994 by founding editor Diana Strassmann on behalf of the International Association for Feminist Economics, Feminist Economics is a peer-reviewed journal providing an open forum for dialogue and debate about feminist economic perspectives. It remains a leading publication in the discipline of economics.
The journal transitioned to its new home at Colorado State University over a period of years, culminating in 2025 when Prof. Strassmann retired from Rice University. The year before, Feminist Economics marked its 30th anniversary with a retrospective panel hosted at Rice. A recording of that panel is available below.
