The Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality at Rice was established in 2006. Its predecessor, the Program for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, dates back to 1992.
The Center brings together faculty from multiple schools at Rice to offer interdisciplinary academic programs and research opportunities to undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty. Our main offerings are:
- undergraduate major in the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality
- minor in the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality
- graduate certificate program
- two-year postdoctoral fellowship program
- Feminist Research Group
The Center also houses the international journal, Feminist Economics.
