Practicum Research Fund

Thanks to the generosity of our Partners of the Center, students in the Seminar and Practicum in Engaged Research are entitled to apply for internal funding from CSWGS to support their projects.

Applications are accepted from December 1 to January 31, and should be emailed to cswgs@rice.edu. The committee reviewing applications includes the Center Director, the faculty instructor for the Seminar and Practicum, and the Staff Associate Director.

Applicants should include:

• A summary paragraph of the project
• A description of each item for which funding is requested
• An explanation of what role each item plays in the research

When a funding amount is approved (generally no more than $500 per project), students will submit receipts to the Center Coordinator documenting their expenses in Concur.
