Graduate students enrolled in the certificate program participate in the Colloquium - an annual series of seminars and public lectures given by leading scholars invited to Rice. Through the Colloquium, students gain personal contact with these cutting-edge scholars while building intellectual community with their fellow graduate students.
Colloquium seminars are open only to CSWGS graduate certificate students and faculty. Specific dates will be announced in advance, and readings for seminars will be made available on OWL-space.
Students are required to attend at least six Colloquia within three years of enrolling in the certificate.
For upcoming Colloquia lectures, please see our events listings. You may also download a list of past Colloquia.
