Starting October 2009, Carlin and Khan offer the course "Religion and Sexuality: A Comparative Study" through the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.

Nathan Carlin is a fifth-year doctoral student in religious studies at Rice University, specializing in the psychology of religion, and has published more than 30 articles on topics related to psychology, religion and sexuality. He serves as editorial associate for the journal Pastoral Psychology and sub-editor for Religious Studies Review. He holds an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary and an MA in religion and psychology from Rice.

Heba Khan is a doctoral student in religious studies at Rice University and has presented lectures on the world's major religions, religious tolerance and Islam at a number of Houston venues. She is an associate lecturer in the Boniuk Center for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance at Rice. Ms. Khan holds an MA in religious studies from Rice.
